Amy Thompson McCandless
Amy Thompson McCandless has been Dean of The Graduate School of the College of Charleston since July 2006. She received her A.B. degree in history from Sweet Briar College in Virginia, her M.B.A. in personnel from the University of South Carolina, and her Ph.D. in modern British social history from the University of Wisconsin. As Chair of the editorial board of the South Carolina Historical Magazine, she is excited about the Lowcountry Digital History Project which is in the process of digitizing archival collections from the SC Historical Society, the College of Charleston, and The Citadel (lcdl.library.coc.edu). She is currently using the collections for a chapter on Lowcountry Women in World War II.
